Any problems getting pregnant?

Question

My husband and I plan on starting a family in the next year or two. I have had celiac since I was 2 years old and developed hypothyroidism about 3 years ago. Does anyone have both and had any problems getting pregnant?

  1. Are you taking thyroid support? It can affect pregnancy if thyroid function is low

  2. I swear by pre conception exams. I didn’t know until my daughter was 1 that I had celiac but I tried for over a year to get pregnant and I finally went to my obgyn to have an exam. She did an ultrasound on my ovaries, did bloodwork, checked my pelvis to make sure it was ok for vaginal birth. After all of that we found out event though I was always having a period I wasn’t always releasing an egg. She gave me meds that made me release an egg and 2 months later I was pregnant!

  3. Yes have both and had three kids x

  4. I have both and also have endometriosis, and I have 4 kids. good luck!

  5. Thank you all!

  6. I have Celiac and Hashimotos. We literally got pregnant the first month we tried. I had a partial molar miscarriage and had to wait six months before trying again. Month seven we tried, got pregnant and have a healthy 20 month old❤️

  7. Have both and didn’t know about either til after my 3 kids. All were born early. 18 days, 10 days, and one month early.

  8. Just make sure you dont have any diet deficiency in.your.blood test before making a baby (b12, folate, iron, zinc, copper, vitamin d…etc).

  9. Pregnancy was ROUGH for me, the malnourishment made it so much worse but totally worth it. I have two girls, 6 and 11

  10. Thank you to everyone!! I will speak to my doctors to make sure I have all of the recommended tests done!
