Can I be allergic here? Can this be from the oil?

Ok, I’m a very very newbie and have a perhaps odd question. I made my first magnesium oil about 2 weeks ago. I have been spraying it on my arms only and it’s a little weak, added a little extra water to first batch hoping to minimize the itch I have read about on here. I have an odd rash of some sort breaking out all over my chest and shoulders – not where I spray the mag oil but started about the same time. I can’t think of anything else new in this time frame except a new batch of laundry detergent but all the ingredients are the same I have used for a while. Can I be allergic here? Can this be from the oil?

  1. I had a rash the first few time I used my spray,,but as I got use to it it went away!!

  2. Thank you both! I will just wait a bit then before worrying about it. Not sure I can convince my husband to start though if that's what is happening to me. 🙁

  3. Are you gluten free. I get rashes on my chest, back, upper arms and hairline when I eat gluten…I am not celiac.

  4. When I've made the mag oil myself and then sprayed it on my skin, I itched like there was no tomorrow and also broke out into a rash. So I cut the mag oil with 50% water and still was getting the same issues. When I stopped using the mag oil the issues cleared up! I can soak in a hot bath with magnesium added in, I have no reactions at all, it just seems to be with the stronger concentration that I have problems with it! Hope this helps anyone else who is experiencing the same or similar issues!!

  5. I noticed I got itchy in a few places away from where I put the mag oil when I first started spraying. It took a couple of months to get rid of it but it actually seemed to be a detox thing. I tried all sorts of things to get rid of it, nothing helped…but then it just went by itself.

  6. Mag Chloride is a powerful detox tool. It will pull toxins from the cells of the skin where it is applied. The rash will go away once the toxins are removed.

  7. hi Eileen M Niehaus, I found your post from June re rash from mag oil – hope you don't mind me bringing it up now. I am experiencing similar to your problem back then. Put spray oil on my chest, and got bad rash, but also on my back ( directly behind my chest )- not detox as it happened to quickly. Did your rash resolve? my dr. said excema ( I'm sure its not ) and prescribed Antroquoril that I'm very hesitant to use . Any info. or help would be most welcome thank you
