Difference to between nature throid and Armour?

Question

Hi all, I have a question what is the difference to between nature thrlod and Armour? Long story short I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto 27 years ago I was put on Synthroid and was on many years. About five years ago I was put on nature throid and for the past months medication is on back order. My doctor put me on Armour just asking some opinions because I’m just so confused I don’t feel well/good. Thank you !!have a great day!!

  1. They both contain levothyroxine (T4) and liothyronine (T3), but the inactive ingredients are different.

Armour – calcium stearate, dextrose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate and opadry white.

Naturethroid – colloidal silicon dioxide, dicalcium phosphate, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline ccium stearate, dextrose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate and opadry white.

  2. what do you think is better for the body?

  3. I was switched from naturethroid to armour because of the shortage. I also felt terrible. My doctor thought maybe I was reacting to the inactive ingredients. Not sure, but luckily naturethroid is showing back up in my area and most pharmacies have it in stock now, so I was able to switch back. I would start checking to see if they are getting it in your area.

  4. I know WP Thyroid is not being made but NP Thyroid is… I just got a script for that… functional dr didn't want me to be back on armour too many fillers

  5. Here's the latest Nature-Throid update. They are shipping some strengths now. https://getrealthyroid.com/product-availability.html

  6. Oh!!! I think this is what my fmd wanted to put me on but said it was having stocking issues. I was having to get my T3 made at a compound pharmacy due to food sensitivities

  7. I had to try Armor and wow, horrible for me. Made me crazy. I keep searching all the pharmacies for whatever they have. Found 40 pills at Costco and will try Walmart next. Armour is not for me. I was a raving crying lunatic.
