Does anyone have a remedy for nausea?

Does anyone have a remedy for nausea? My teen has been tested by allergist and has an egg and barley sensitivity. We have been waiting a very long time to get in to a specialist and finally get to go this week.
BUT She has been sick for the last 3 days throwing up. Her regular Dr. have given her nausea medicine but its not working. Any suggestions?

  1. Did they give her zofran for the nausea? The little tablets that dissolve under the tongue? I have a regular script for them and they help most of the time.

  2. Ginger chews
I depended on those for the last year while my gallbladder was on the fritz. And now after surgery. For me they're better than zofran

  3. Peppermint oil with lavender oil to calm peppermint gum, peppermint tea. Chamomile tea

  4. charcoal pills do wonders for me when i am nauseous or when i have a upset stomach!

  5. My husband says that fenugreek works

  6. also, pepcid (famotidine) is helpful. It does cause constipation though

  7. FYI benadryl helps too…

  8. Put peppermint on a cotton ball and have her smell it.

  9. I can't think of anything else other than what's recommended. I hope she finds some relief. I was so nauseas until I got off dairy. I hope they figure out her trigger and I hope the dr changes the zofran if it's not working.

  10. Maybe call the dr. office again and ask for advice. You don't want her to get dehydrated.

  11. Have her sip tea or juice, not water. Water is so nauseating ( learned this my last stomach bug)
Ginger sliced in hot water with honey. Also if you have a health food store look for a homeopathic remedy.

  12. My daughter swears by peppermint

  13. Sounds weird – but I used to heat up gingerale in the microwave and sip it. I also use Traditional Medicinals Eaters Digest tea – or fennel tea.

  14. Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Your support is comforting.

  15. I hated zofran. Never worked for me. I use reglan for nausea and it works amazingly. Maybe try to get a prescription for that.

  16. Ginger, licorice, fennel and chamomile have worked well for me.

  17. Try peppermint tea v

  18. Ginger tea helps me

  19. Nux vom – it's a homeopathic remedy. Places like Holland and Barrett sell it.
