How long does it take to notice a difference?

Question

I’m getting a scope for Celiac testing, plus a colonoscopy for Crohn’s and Colitis testing. My question is, if i am negative for all three of these, I still want to try going GF to see if I have NCGS. How long does it take to notice a difference?

  1. My daughter said she felt better within days of eating gluten free.

  2. You’ll likely get responses all over the board. I noticed a difference in 4 days. I’ve heard 6 weeks and even 6 months from others.

  3. You could have IBS-C or IBS-D or IBS-M. It sometimes mirrors the symptoms of these issues. I have IBS-C and gluten free helps me manage symptoms

  4. I initially felt better after a few days then it got worse for about a month fevers joint pain etc now I feel great.

  5. I just stared GF about 2 weeks ago. I noticed a difference in about 3 to 4 days. Felt really good for those first few days and now I am just really tired. They say that gets better just an adjustment period but again everyone is different. Stomach still feels better so that is the good part.

  6. I noticed it at the end of my first day. I had less bloating.

  7. I felt better after day one! Yes not 100% but I could feel a major difference. I was just telling my husband today how I felt more awake this morning then I normally do, I woke up with energy and no brain fog. I have only been gluten free for a little more then a week. I am working on getting my home cleared of gluten. I have a feeling once I have achieved that I will notice more improvements.
