  1. Lots with Hashimotos have infertility issues, but lots don’t have any trouble getting pregnant….Hope u can I had my daughter at the age of 19 & never been able to conceive since I am now 47 & didn’t know I had Hashimotos until a couple of yrs ago.

  2. You are born with the amount of eggs you will have for childbearing. So if its a problem with the quality of your eggs I would say that wont ever be fixed. However if its a problem with the your hormones it’s quite possible you could conceive. I had four children and wasn diagnosed until 3 years after i had my youngest but had all the symptoms for 10 years before i got pregnant with my first just wasnt diagnosed. Best of luck to you!!!

  3. I think I was undiagnosed for a long time. At 35 I was diagnosed with low egg supply and premature ovarian failure. I also lost a pregnancy at 5 months due to the baby having trisomy 18.

  4. I have the same problem. We went through two unproductive rounds of I.V.F. My Dr. said egg quality was an issue. Everything I have read says yes you are born with a certain amount of eggs, but the egg goes through its growth cycle ~ 6 months before ovulation. I think the quality begins then. I’m praying that is the case. I was just diagnosed with Hashimoto’s a year after our last attempt. I’ve been on the A.I.P. diet for several months. So, we are going to try again. We are planning on going through this next round with donor eggs, but I have faith that maybe my numbers will improve giving hope to my eggs. Are you on the A.I.P. diet?

  5. I have Hashis (diagnosed last year officially, hypo the 4 years before that), and we have struggled with infertility. I was tested and everything seemed fine (that was before I had my first and hypo dx). This time around, I’ve been on AIP since 9/2016 and my doctor had me on Femora to boost my ovulation and we are currently pregnant (23 weeks). You may want to check out this book as well, they discuss infertility issues that are common with Thyroid issues and make recommendations for optimal thyroid levels to conceive and sustain a pregnancy (“normal” ranges aren’t enough).

Good luck in your journey to heal your body and I hope you are able to have a baby. It’s so hard.

  6. I have hashimotos and I recently had a healthy pregnancy

  7. I found out I had hashis after doing infertility testing. It’s been 1 1/2 years and I still haven’t gotten pregnant. I have given up and I don’t take my synthroid anymore.

  8. My thyroid issues were triggered because I had a pregnancy. It’s just different for everyone. You should be consulting a doctor about your question.

  9. I’m in the same boat, tried to get eggs, tried ivf and nothing worked, sorry you are having this issue, if you are young, try to harvest eggs and treat the hashis before implanting, good docs around the country that deal with this too, like Braverman in NY, and Sher in Las Vegas, don’t waste your money on a regular ivf doc

  10. Been going through the same thing. Saw a reproductive immunologist and am getting answers. Check out the book Is your body baby friendly? by Alan Beer (Amazon). The information could get you yo the right Dr and get you pregnant. Feel free to pm me if you want more info!

  11. Just read Karla Reinsfelder Bowser message. We’re talking about the same thing. 🙂 There is also Dr. Kwak Kim in Chicago.

  12. I feel really bad hearing of your difficulty conceiving. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s when I was 30 after my 2nd daughter was born. I was told that I would have difficulty having more children and had no problem getting pregnant a third time with my third daughter. Don’t lose faith and try not to stress because the stress of worrying about it could be a problem. Best of luck
