I get acid reflux lately after I eat.


I’m not sure if this is the right group to ask but, I get acid reflux lately after I eat. I read online you might not have enough acid to break things down in your stomach when this happens. I also don’t have a gallbladder anymore. Anyone know the answer to this or have a similar problem? Thanks.

  2. I’ve had acid reflux disease for many years (GERD) pre celiac diagnosis. My 1st EGD showed I also had 2 gastric ulcers. Thought they were treated & healed. Still on a PPI, go forward 4 yrs to July 2017 repeat EGD which showed a gastric ulcer.

  3. Do you take digestive enzymes? I take one called Hydrozyme.

  9. My daughter does… especially after a glutening. A daily probiotic and digestive enzymes at every meal has reduced the need for reflux meds.

  11. Yes. Take Aloe Vera juice before meals and a digestive enzymes with meals.

  13. I have it really bad. I also have a hiatal hernia so that doesn’t help either. Oddly enough the only thing that seems to give me instant relief is throwing up. I don’t know if all the acid that keeps coming up is just removed or if it’s something I’ve eaten that caused it. That in return makes my hernia worse

  14. Half hour before you eat take a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother.

  15. Actually now I remember the BEST thing for my gluten-related reflux was absolutely probiotics. Just take a pill… Yogurt has too many other side effects after glutening.

  16. Yes. But of I eat clean and use probiotics and digest enzymes I can eat the bad stuff every once in a while. Not gluten of course.

  19. No gallbladder, watch the intake of fats as you no longer have the gb to deal with cholesterol. My arteries really clogged and diseased , so cut down on fatty foods and drinks.
