I noticed the hair on my legs has quit growing

I noticed the hair on my legs has quit growing. I googled and it suggested adrenal issues. Anyone heard of that? The hair on my head has thickened up so I question that.

  1. I have been dealing with adrenal fatigue for some time now and I still have to shave my legs! Man, I never get any of the "good" symptoms! 😉

  2. Could be a drop in androgens depending on health and age.

  3. I am 57 also (almost 58) and that could be part of it.

  4. I wish the hair on my legs would stop growing. Lol!!

  5. I don't mind that. I have had a hystorectomy, not in the best of health and don't take hormones.

  6. I had a partial hysterectomy as well. Ovaries and cervix still intact. I cannot take hormones due to a DVT I had caused by the birth control pill at age 20.

  7. I had mine thirty years ago due to ovarian cancer and can't take hormones due to breast cancer.

  8. I am sorry Joyce

  9. Thanks, have a lot of health problems due to all of this, food intolerance the worst. Trying to fix it all now.

  10. I wish you well!!

  11. Thank you.

  12. I thought it was the continuous shaving.

  13. During the winter I was so sick I quit shaving and just started back but since I shaved 2 weeks ago it quit growing.

  14. Most of the hair on my legs stopped growing due to venous insufficiency…my blood is pooling and staying static because the vein valves are weak… very painful…

  15. Trying to start the adrenal cocktail. Can't do c due to amine issues but maybe found 1 I can do (knock on wood). Then add potassium bicarbonate (can't do cream of tartar) and can't do sea salt and I don't know why, I am a mess.

  16. Circulation issue

  17. You may all be right I have had to cut back on my work outs due to not feeling well and the blood has started to pool a little again. Better step it up if I can.

  18. My AF is improving and I have noticed that my hair is not growing as fast in areas that I didn't want it to grow — underarm and chin areas. Hair growth has acceralated in other areas — eyebrows, arms, legs, and head.

  19. Thanks everybody. Also I have been depressed and not wanting to exercise. Better buck up hadn't I.

  20. Thanks for that advice Kelly Beck

  21. True for my husband.

  22. Whatever you're doing, I want to do it, too.

  23. No you don't.

  24. What is it when u have a round spot on ur shin area that no hair grows? 1.5-2" in diameter

  25. I have no hair on my legs for last 2 years.

  26. Wish i had that problem. Lol

  27. Could be thyroid

  28. You think so?

  29. I think it's age…

  30. Interesting Dan Terrence just don't want to go back to the Dr. They are not very helpful right now.

  31. You don't need a doctor, most are clueless with what we are dealing with.
Hypothyroidism= Iodine, selenium, magnesium and zinc deficiency.
Hashimotos= Those deficiencies plus a leaky gut.
For hypo's, iodine protocol to cure your thyroid.
For hashis, fix leaky gut and then an iodine protocol.
    Research Dr Brownstein

  32. Yeah they are clueless. I will do some more reading. Thanks

  33. Wonder if it is hormone related.

  34. Could be since I get no hormones.

  35. I have had sparse hair on my legs since breast cancer and a hysterectomy, (no HRT) and 5 years of tamoxifen, 8 years ago. I started the mag protocol and methylated B's (MTHFR A1298C) about a month and 1/2 ago. Tonight in the bath i noticed my leg gair is coming in at about 4-5 times the amount! Not happy to think about shaving regularly… but HEALTH!!

  36. Breath test for pylori misses it more times than not same w stool and blood biopsy through endoscope is the gold standard

  37. Very few hairs and slow growth on legs, pubis and underarms since chemo for leukaemia 30 yes ago. I have wondered if it will grow more as I heal and detox. Interesting thread.
