Levothyroxine vs. Synthroid?

Hey everyone!
I have a question: Levothyroxine vs. Synthroid? I know they are technically the same thing, but they are made differently.

I was recently switched to Synthroid (3 months ago) and I have been feeling like total crap. I think my levels are off again. I had been on Levo for almost 3 years prior to this switch, and I’m really starting to feel like I did before I was on meds. I mean, the Levo by no means was a life changing pill, but I was defintiely more functional than I am now.

Anyway, which pill do you think is better and why? Should I just switch back or ride out the synthroid because it gets better?

  1. There’s really no better or worse, just what suits you best. Some love Synthroid, others do fine on a different brand of T4. Why not switch back to Levothyroxine and see how you feel?

  2. Whatever works for you.
