Magnesium to malate

I have a question. I switched my magnesium to malate during the day and glycinate at night from oxide during the morning. Since the switch my pain has increased. Especially in my thighs. I’ve been feeling kinda puney too. Any ideas?

  1. How did you feel with the oxide?

  2. you may be needing potassium

  3. Mag water is awesome!!!

  4. How long has it been since you made the change?

  5. About 6 weeks or so

  6. I was wondering if it was just a transitional thing but now I'm doubtful. Are you taking as much magnesium now as you were before? Different types of magnesium have different bioavailabilities for different people.

  7. I am taking a little over double the amount I was before with the oxide

  8. I can't take over 500 mg of the oxide because it causes bathroom issues for lack of a better phrase.

  9. While I've never had a problem switching from mag citrate, to glycinate, to malate, that doesn't make it a universal truth. Cheri Harkness seems to have the best advice for you. Sorry to have led you to a dead end.

  10. Exactly lol

  11. Snack on pumpkin seeds and seaweeds as you continue to mull over the issue.

  12. I love pumpkin seeds! Not sure about the seaweeds lol. Can you explain why MJ?

  13. Kim, not sure if this is helpful but malate makes me very, very sick. It should help fibro patients with energy production but I have very severe pain when I take it. I'm hoping the genetic testing should shed some light on the issue but for now I can't tolerate it. Glycinate however has not bothered me

  14. Thank you Irini. I stopped taking it. I guess I don't tolerate it either. I have fibro among other things. Thank you for your input. I appreciate it very much

  15. have heard so many negatives regarding Mag Oxide but have heard that many people like it. I have been taking it for a week and notice positive changes that I have not experienced with any other form.

  16. I'm feeling much better since starting it back up. I am slowly adding more glycinate to it.
