  1. Shake the bottle and apply with a makeup pad.

  2. Kathleen Pazaras, thanks for that tip!

  3. If you're prone to sweating, you'll still sweat. Sweating helps remove toxins, so it's good. Reapply after swimming if you wish. Milk of Magnesia works the second it's applied. That stuff is amazing. I love it.

  4. I pour a couple of drops into a small pinch bowl, and apply with my fingers. Be sure to shake the bottle before use. And get one with the least amount of ingredients. Buying and trying it is the only way to know if it'll work for you.

  5. We use it full strength, works great for us, don't find a need to re-apply, even in miserable high temps.

  6. I literally just tried it and it did seem to neutralize odor immediately. I use the rock crystal and it works OK in Texas heat but I always seem to still have slight odor with it. The MOM seemed to neutralize that immediately!

  7. Teri McMullen thank you for the great question! Also isn't this a great way to get more Mag in our bodies too? Or does it not work that way?

  8. I use Thai spray. Someone said magnesium spray used as a deo works very well too.

  9. I checked at Target (which I dislike but had to get something that was there) and the MOM had a bleach in it! What brand are y'all using?

  10. Dollar General brand has nothing but Mag in it, but the CVS and Walgreens brand I found had the bleach. Sofia Spacekimono Gee

  11. I have Walgreens brand and has 2 ingredients: magnesium hydroxide and purified water, no nasty extras. Thanks for the tip Kelly Keefer. Always wondered if I could add essential oils to MOM as deodorant.

  12. I live in the desert (we had 114 a week or so ago) and it seems to be holding up well.

  13. I use MoM here in the Caribbean and it works great.

  14. Thank you Tania! I know I'd read threads on it before but forgot which brand was the best! 🙂

  15. Kelly, how did you manage to remove the roller ball on the bottle. I was applying it with my fingers and then bought some empty roller bottle on amazon. It's says they're not reusable once the ball is locked in place, so I'm curious how you managed it.

  16. Isn't there aluminum in MoM?

  17. You want the purest form. The name brand is not. Dollar General is one. If you compare brands at stores you will see. I think someone said Walgreen maybe, too.

  18. It's the one I use.

  19. Works great for me. I add a little Purification oil and I'm odor free all day. I live in Northern Va and it's really hot and humid here.

  20. As far as brands, I'm learning not to count on any of them. They change ingredients from time to time, adding the bleach in or whatev. Always. Read. Labels. 🙂

  21. hmmm…well, so far so good, it's suppose to reach 100 on the 4th, so will see how it goes 🙂

  22. It's amazing! It's been over 100 here and I'm smelling like a rose!!! Try it you will be amazed too

  23. The local dollar store has pure MOM just read ingredients

  24. I like DG brand of plain Milk of Magnsium, $2.00 for 12 ounces, at Dollar General stores.

  25. This is a list of "GOOD" MOMs and it also shows the ingredients of the "BAD" MOMs…….http://www.toxinless.com/milk-of-magnesia

  26. use magnesium oil, it works great

  27. Kelly Gillett I am also interested in how you get the MOM into the roller bottles. I would love to reuse a bottle of possible.

  28. I use a spray bottle

  29. I use cotton balls and yes ..it works..=)

  30. This is how to remove the rollerball the way my hubby did it, Lauri Nickel and Andréa Wright Crisp……While holding the bottle under running water squeeze the air out of the bottle then water should start filling inside the bottle. repeat this process until the bottle is filled with water. Then give the bottle a hard squeeze, while pointing the ball into the sink and the ball should pop out! I am going to buy some roller deodorants at the Dollar Tree just to get some extra bottles….the roller should just pop out since they will be full! I hope this works for you too!

  31. I wore it through a 75 minute hot yoga class and no smell afterwards!

  32. Any product will probably need to be frequently re-applied in hot weather, especially after swimming. I'd suggest re-applying after you're done swimming, after you shower and before putting on fresh clothes.

  33. There are some days it doesn't work for me but most days it does. I'm suspecting the effectiveness coincides with my menses cycle.

  34. Joyce Alexander , is it a pure formula ? Also does it stain clothes or not ? 🙂

  35. In general does MOM safe for clothing or does it stain clothes ?

  36. — Nadia Harmony, here's the list of ingredients (from their web site http://www.peoplespharmacy.com/store/body-care/womens-mom-milk-of-magnesia-aluminum-free-roll-on-deodorant/):

Ingredients: Aqua (Water),Magnesium Hydroxide, Lithium Magnesium, Sodium Silicate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergania Fruit Oil, Vanilla Plantifolia Fruit Extract, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Jasminum Grandiflorum Flower Ext.

No, it doesn't stain my clothing either. I really like it. I checked all of these ingredients with EWG and they're fine. For me, my biggest concern is the accumulation of aluminum in my brain. so I avoid it like the plague.

  37. Just use the regular generic MoM and I just dab it on with folded piece of toilet paper or some put it in a little spray bottle. You don't pay for all the other stuff being added to that deodorant and it works great and is cheap. If I'm going to be out for long periods I really dilute some and wipe it on other areas and I don't have that " sweaty outdoor smell" either. Experiment. ..

  38. You can buy the roller bottles on amazon. They're reusable too.

  39. I use it with tea tree oil and it works great

  40. Joyce, I only found non-refillable ones on amazon, do you have a link to the reusuable ones? Thanks, Kelly, for telling us how to do that!

  41. Give me a minute to poke around a bit. 🙂

  42. Sorry, it looks like the only ones they have now are small — for fragrances. sorry 🙁

  43. Thanks for checking, I thought I had missed seeing refillable ones, except for the tiny ones. Those would be good for some of the essential oils, actually.

  44. they had them a few months. I almost bought a few. So just keep checking back. Their inventory changes a lot. I was happy to look for you.

  45. Whole foods usually carries roller bottles.
