What type of magnesium is best for extreme heartburn?

Question:what type of magnesium is best for extreme heartburn? I know it’s supposed to be a 1:1 ratio with calcium. Does anyone have any advise or info on this subject? Thanks in advance

  1. Take a small swallow of Milk of Magnesia for an acute episode. Don't take supplemental calcium, get calcium only from foods. Read "The Calcium Lie II" by Robert Thompson, MD. If she is low on acid, take a few grains of Celtic gray salt with a small amount of water a half an hour before meals. This will help the parietal cells in the stomach lining to make the hydrochloric acid. Avoid drinking a lot of fluids during meals as this dilutes the hydrochloric acid and makes it difficult to digest the food.

  2. Have you tried taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water?

  3. heart burn is caused by too little stomach acid (seems counterintuitive i know) have apple cider vinegar daily as well as when it is acting up.

  4. The 1:1 ratio of calcium to magnesium is a maximum safe level of calcium, not a "reccomendation for healthy supplements." Most people get ample calcium from diet and don't need any as supplements.

  5. I have recently started taking aloe vera juice, Univera brand, and it has helped me tremendously! Very soothing!
